Sunday in our connect group we talked about seeking GOD, about faith and different ways GOD might reveal himself to us. Unfortunately we do not have this huge fiery cloud like the Israelites did to know when we are with GOD or if he has moved and we should follow. Or do we? I realized today in reading GODS word and talking to my beautiful, smart, and uber intelligent wife that if we really think about and focus on GOD and HIS WORD he has given all we need to know, where to go, and what to do. It's just a matter of seeking.
Point is, that we can read GODS WORD all we want and it not make a difference until we put those words to work. Thank you LORD for your patience with us when we don't always get it the first time.

Contemplating my weekend
The wife is gone along with ten thousand other crazy women downtown at the women of faith conference. So, naturally Im havin a party!!!!!!!! Oh wait, she left me with the three kids, JOY!
Actually we are having a great time, the weather is awesome, hard to complain. Anyhow, I was just thinking about how GOD continues to work in our lives. This weekendmyself and seven other guys are making pancakes for the intercessary prayer team at church, this is cool because it is the first thing with mens ministry that I am involved with. I am hoping this leads to many other neat things that we, as men in the church , can do.
If thats not crazy enough I will also be leading our connect group discussion on Sunday. Look out everyone, not sure if we are going to be in the Genesis book this week. I have had a couple thought on things we can talk about.
I am so thankful for our new church and everyone in it. From the leaders to the congregation, all have welcomed us and we really feel that GOD has lead us here that we might grow to be the people he wants us to be. So many things have happened that I would have never imagined, its pretty stinkin cool.
Well, that felt good to write to myself a little bit, oh and Donna as well, HI DONNA.

Phils First Post
Well I guess in some aspect I have given in to the whole world wide web thing, although you will never see me on facebook.
So, knowing that I am likely writing to myself because I doubt that anyone will ever visit this page I feel an overwhelming sense of 'speak my mindism', or something like that.
If you do not want to hear a landscapers take on GOD, HIS WORD, HIS PERFECT SACRAFICE JESUS CHRIST, and all the wonderfully awesome, breathtaking, unimagineable things that HE has done in my life, my family's life and desires to do in yours than go away. Just kidding, no in all seriousness leave now.
